Plymouth is a wonderful town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. It is the largest municipality in Massachusetts in terms of square miles in the map of Plymouth. Founded in 1620 by Pilgrims, Plymouth is home to numerous beaches, a working port from which whale watching, deep sea fishing and harbor excursions sail and Myles Standish State Forest, the Commonwealth's second largest state forest and a popular camping destination. Also, Ellisville State Park boasts a natural beach inside Cape Cod Bay. The city has numerous public and private golf courses, which include Squirrel Run, Village Links, and Plymouth Country Club. The city of Plymouth is promoted as America's Hometown.

The city of Plymouth is a major tourist destination for its heritage, which includes Plymouth Rock, the living history village Plimoth Plantation and the oldest public museum on map of Plymouth. The Plymouth Rock Memorial was designed by legendary astronomical illustrator Chesley Bonestell, who designed the Chrysler Building gargoyles and contributed to the design of the Golden Gate Bridge. The town also features the National Monument to the Forefathers, dedicated in 1889. Another notable historical site is the Jenney Grist Mill, a working replica of the original mill, which was built in 1636.

Plymouth is recognized for its seafood. Earlier clams and lobster were considered a lowly food and were often given to prisoners. But nowadays the story is different. You can find restaurants offering a wide selection of seafood, from a delicious cup of homemade clam “chowda” or lobster bisque, to fish and chips or a succulent lobster dinner all over the county. There is also plenty of classic American, Italian-American, Indian, and Japanese restaurants can be found in the area. Moreover, there is a multitude of small, independent and charming cafés and delicatessens in this bustling city. There is endless opportunity for the shoppers with a wide variety of independent crafters, wineries and antique shops.
