The travelers traveling to Turkey require a passport which is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival in Turkey. This Turkey visa passport is mandatory for all nationals except for nationals of Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands and Spain who are allowed entry with a national ID card having a validity of one year. A visa for Turkey is also a requirement for nationals of all countries. There is an exception for the transit passengers who are to continue their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours and provided they are not leaving the airport and are in possession of confirmed onward tickets. Travelers also traveling by sea or land via Turkey require a visa for Turkey. A tourist visa for Turkey needs to be obtained by the tourists and business visitors. It is advisable for the nationals of all countries to contact the visa section of the consulate general before traveling. The travelers from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Malta, The Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, the UK and USA for stays not exceeding one month can obtain a sticker-type entry visa at the point of entry for a fee. |
