- Einstein House: The three papers which cemented Albert Einstein's legend were written while he was a patent office expert in Bern. His house today is a memorial museum.
- Nydeggkirche: This church is built on the spot of an old castle. The historical church was first built in 1341 and has been added to over the years.
- Nydegg Bridge and the Bear pits: The Nydegg Bridge is located near the Nydeggkirche. It is at the confluence of Bern's three main thoroughfares. Across the bridge is the Bear Pit. Sunken into the ground near the bridgehead, the pit has housed bears since the 16th Century. Bears are the symbols of the city of Bern.
- Untertorbrucke: It is an arched mason bridge, which is believed to be the oldest in Switzerland.
