Sundsvall

The city of Sundsvall Sweden is located in the southern province of Medelpad in central Sweden. Being the hub of industries, Sundsvall is a very important city.

In the month of July it is the "Sundsvall Street Festival" that fills the city with life and exuberance. A splendid procession is taken out which is participated by many a talented artistes.

Gudmundstjärn is yet another museum of interest. Located deep in the woods and focusing on the culture of the region this museum is visited by about 60, 000 visitors every year. Here you may even spot the unique creature called Skvadern which is a cross breed of great wood grouse and hare. Sundsvall Sweden also boasts of many art galleries and art museums. One of the famous Art Fairs called Art Day is an event that is held annually and promotes the art works of local artistes and sculpturers. Another Sundsvall event that promotes fine art is Sundsvalls Konstskola that hosts interesting artistic activities to indulge in.
