City of Stirling is one of the Scotland’s historic cities and the heritage capital city of Scotland. This modern flourishing city was once the capital of Scotland and is even today called as the ‘doorway to the Highlands’. The castle has witnessed performances by artistes Bob Dylan, REM and Ocean Colour Scene and the famous Scottish band Runrig played their 30th birthday concert at the castle. Of late, the city has some of the best places for arts and nightlife. Though a historical city, the city isn’t looking backwards, having a mixed community of locals, students and tourists, inviting shops and leisure areas, the city has also has a modern, cosmopolitan edge offering a broad and distinctive appeal.
