Scotland is one of the four "home nations" namely Wales, England and Northern Ireland that compose the United Kingdom. Scotland shares a 60 mile extended land border with England to the south, and is divided from Northern Ireland by the North Channel of Irish Sea. Scotland is bounded by the waters of the North Atlantic Ocean to the west and north and the North Sea to the east.

The country of Scotland has six main cities. These include:

The renowned Highlands of Scotland are absolutely beautiful. The trails of the highlands are known to be ideal for cycling while the ranges of Aviemore, Glencoe, Nevis, Glenshee, The Lecht, and the Nevis are the best for skiing. The Scottish Bens is a place where you can indulge Munro Bagging, besides mountaineering is worth trying here. For fishing you may head to villages of Cruden Bay, Crovie and Pennan.
