Climate of Russia is very much similar to that of European nations. To avoid crowd the best time to visit Russia is during May to June or September to early October. Although winter is bitingly cold, it has its own charm and the snow make for a spectacular view. The coldest month is January and for regions closer to the shores of the sea it is February. The warmest weather typically is the month of July.
