Kaliningrad

Kaliningrad Russia, also recognized by its original German name- Königsberg, is a famous harbor and the governmental center of Kaliningrad Oblast, the Russian province located between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea. Kaliningrad follows the Eastern Time zone.

Khrabrovo Airport is located within 24 kilometers from Kaliningrad. All airplanes depart and arrive by local time. You may reach the airport via bus as well; the bus-stop is at the way out of the airport. Railroad station is located virtually in the city center. All trains-electric and otherwise depart and arrive by Moscow time zone. There is a tram and trolleybus stop opposite the station exit. Bus station is in close proximity to the railroad station. All arrivals and departures are by local time. Besides touring around the city of Kaliningrad in cars you may use the public transport that comprises trams, trolley buses, buses and jitneys. Almost all public transport passes through Pobeda Square which is the center of Kaliningrad.

A beautiful tourist destination, the city of Kaliningrad has many places of interest and tourist attractions. Some of the famous highlights of the city include the old cathedral of Königsberg that dates back to as late as 1333, the old fortifications that is as old as 1860 includes 15 town gates, Museum of the World Ocean which includes two museum ships and one submarine and the Amber Museum.
