Steinkjer Norway is located in the Nord-Trondelag County. It has always been habited since the Stone Ages. The Bolareinen rock carvings found in the area which have depictions of an almost life sized reindeer and a bear are testimony to the fact. One can also see other rock carvings like the Bardal, some up to 6,000 years old. As per historical records, the Steinkjer area has been one of the powerbases since the early Viking Age. The modern times have been witness to Steinkjer surviving at least two major disasters. One was a wide ranging fire in 1900 which burned down much of the southern parts. The next was at the time of the Second World War in1940 when Heinkel He III bombers were struck on the town.
The city built itself back into shape after 1945 with aid from the United States. The city was rebuilt on a more functionalism architecture inspired style. The historical buildings to have survived the bomb attacks are in contrast based upon a neo-classical architecture style. The Steinkjer Norway Weather is more of a temperate climate with a fairly warm and long summer to facilitate reasonable cultivation of a range of vegetables and grains.
