Nestled in the heart of Finnmark, Karasjok is the second largest county in Norway. Norway Karasjok is expanded on an area of 5,463,0 km2, with approximately 2,900 inhabitants. It is the gateway to Saami country and a junction between East and West in Finnmark County and Finland and Finnmark. Many of the most important Saami national institutions like Sami Parliament, NRK Sámi Radio, Sámiid Vuorká-Dávvirat - the national museum of Sami culture and history, the Sami Art-center and last, but not least - Sápmi, the Sami Theme park are located here. Norway Karasjok city is the administrative capital of the Norwegian Sami people.

Norway Karasjok is full of year round activities. During winter season, Karasjok's plateau and mountains are covered in snow, with mild-weather valleys where green pine trees stand tall and lend a sense of warmth to the landscape, encouraging people to live here, even when the temperatures reach 40 degree Celsius. Snowmobile tours, reindeer racing, dog sleighing and northern lights make tourists from all over the world spend their winter vacation in Norway Karasjok city. If it's cold and dark during the wintertime, it's much brighter during the summer. The forests and marshlands are full of cloudberries, blueberries, cranberries and other wild berries. Karasjok fascinates you with thrilling winter activities like reindeer races, excursions to the reindeer herds, amazing rides on dogsleds and snow scooters, skiing on marked trails, floodlit trails and slalom slopes.

Built in 1807, Karasjok Church is one of the few churches in Europe that has a doubled pulpit. It is an out of thought for the bilingual population. However, the Old Church is one of the oldest buildings in Finnmark. Karasjok has many pleasant strands along the banks of the Tanaelva River where you could go fishing. It invites you with its pure waters and sandy stretches that are several kilometers long. Sápmi, a theme park, is a must for those traveling through Karasjok. It is based on four of the main elements of Sami culture and tradition: Siida, Sami kitchen, Sami Handicraft (duodji) and Stálubákti. Midnight sun, an amazing nature and the stabile weather makes Karasjok a vacation paradise for the nature lover.
