Honningsvag

Honningsvag history is not very spectacular but the city provides various attractions for an eventful holiday. The city is strategically located at the most northerly point in Europe and is the gateway to the renowned North Cape. The surrounding area complete with breathtaking fjords and attractive waterfalls make it an entertaining place to visit. The city has scenic areas of dense forest which are continuously bathed by the mysterious light of the Midnight Sun. One can also undertake a journey from Honningsvag to the North Cape which is approximately 21 miles away. During this fabulous journey one gets an opportunity to casually stop along the way and marvel at the reindeer herds.

The white Duken Mountains which mean tablecloth in Norwegian are covered in rare plants and are an attractive sight to watch out for.
