Grimstad is a costal municipality in Aust-Agder County, Norway that belongs to the geographical region of Sørlandet. It is bordered by Arendal in the east, Froland and Birkenes in the north, and Lillesand in the west. Its name is derived from a river Gró or Gróa, meaning the growing one.'
