  • Never step over the feet of a person, always walk round
  • Never offer or accept the thing with your left hand, always use right hand or both.
  • Do not stand in front of a person who is eating as this mean that your feet will be next to his food, sit or stand by his side.
  • Shaking of a head signifies ‘yes’.
  • Remove your shoes or footwear while entering shrine or house, especially kitchen or eating places.
  • Shaking hands is not the common form of greeting. Generally people press their palms together in a prayer like gesture called Namaste.
  • Men remove their shirt while bathing.
