Nepal Nightlife

Nepal is an agriculture based society. It does not mean that there is no entertainment at night. Though the local citizens go to bed at 9 p.m. and get up with sunrise, but still there is vibrant nightlife in Nepal for the tourists. Some of the main areas of nightlife Nepal are:-

Cultural shows- these shows are hosted in almost every hotel and restaurant at nights. Local dance, music and songs are quite common.

Casinos- vibrant nightlife can be encountered at 24 hours a day. Many of them offer unlimited offer and disco in some of their packages. Though Kathmandu becomes quiet with the darkness, but there is an area called Thamel, which has a better selection of bars and nightclubs.

Local bands, dancing and bar scene- local bands in the cities of Pokhara and Kathmandu remain open after 10 p.m. dancing at discos and bars are becoming popular. Because of the cultural attitude, you can even come across people dancing with the same sex. A woman in jean can easily be recognized as foreigner and not the citizen.

To be taken care of - Strife among drunkards is also quite common.

Movies- the theaters in the country generally play popular Hindi movies from Bollywood. Few English movies have also popped up at few local venues, but these are generally those which are 6 months behind their market release. Pirated videos are also sold by many tourist centers.
