The Romans then made Malta a part of their empire in 208 BC.

The Christianity was accustomed by an apostle Paul who became shipwrecked on the island of Malta. Thereby locals were converted to Christianity by him this fact has been proved by biblical and scientific scholars. After hundreds of years of peaceful isolation the island was occupied by Arabs that came from North Africa. They exerted positive influence on Maltese under there rule introduction of citrus fruits and cotton were happened. After then Norman invaders from Sicily displaced the Arabs and ruled for 400 years and Malta remained in the Sicilian way. Under the influence of Britain the Malta became a cosmopolitan country.
