Maldives Passport and Visa information has been mentioned below for your convenience.

Visitors entering the Republic of Maldives should fulfill the following obligations for the entry into the country.

• Possession of an official international travel document issued by the Government of a Sovereign State.
• Possession of minimum of US$30.00 per person per day or confirmed hotel reservation for the proposed period of stay in the Maldives.
• Possession of a valid return air ticket to a destination where the passenger has permission to enter, along with basic visas for the next journey to the subsequent destination.

Following are exempted from this requirement.
Diplomats, UN Personnel, official persons for employment, technical and other experts of the Government, those who have confirm bookings in registered tourist resort/hotels etc. and those sponsored by a citizen of Maldives are exempted from the above requirement.

No prior Maldives visa is required to enter the Republic of Maldives. Entry consent will be approved to visitors on arrival at designated ports of entry, depending on the immigration requirements.
