Jordan transportation is well developed and plays a critical role in the economy of the country. It caters the entire regional requirement. Waterways, roadways and airways have assisted lot in the development of transportation in Jordan.

Airways Queen Alia International, the main mode of transportation at international level, located to the southeast of the capital, is connected by a good highway and has a regular bus and taxis service. The other important airports include Aqaba King Hussein International Airport, Hasan, and Zarqa etc… there are several airlines providing flights to Jordan. All the major airports of UK provide flights to the country of Jordan.

Waterways Jordan’s only outlet to the sea is situated at the head of the Gulf of Aqaba. The port was initially developed after 1948 Arab-Israeli war but was lately enlarged for general use, including terminals for potash and fertilizers. It possesses seven merchant ships in 2002.

Railways The Hejaz Jordanian it is a narrow gauge single track railway, considered of the heritage milestone in the Jordan’s modern history.
