Besides being the capital of County Kerry, Tralee is also its largest town. Situated on the northern region of the neck of the Dingle Peninsula, the city of Tralee makes for a great holiday destination. Tralee Ireland has been attracting tourist in millions fore years now. Tourism investment has been mushrooming like anything. Today the town boasts of myriad visitor attractions and places of interest for the tourist. The climate of Kerry is very calm all through the year thanks to the gulf stream (a humid ocean current that flows in close proximity), which makes Tralee and its impressive atmosphere a great destination for tourism. Best known for the Rose of Tralee International Festival which is held yearly in the month of August, Tralee organizes many cultural events throughout the year. Some of the most interesting things to do in Tralee City includes a dive down a gigantic waterslide, a boat trip that will take you to see around 20,000 gannets, a guided excursion through the medieval castles and historic buildings, golfing on a grand course, listening to some great Irish music on the streets or a visit to chic pubs and restaurants or walk tour or bike rides down the prettiest valleys and hilly regions of Europe. |
