Being the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta is an important tourist destination of the country. Jakarta Indonesia is located in the northwestern region of Java and is nicked named as the Big Durian. The museum's the place to go if you're into heavy, carved furniture and other remnants belonging to the Dutch period. Among the more appealing exhibits is a sequence of dark portrayals of all the Dutch governors-general and early drawings and illustrations of Batavia. Sited in the old Batavia Town Hall, the museum is among the strongest memento of Dutch rule anywhere in Indonesia.
Merdeka Square
In this famous square of the city you will find the most imposing National Monument that stands 433ft tall.
Museum Bahari
This museum once used to serve as Dutch East India Company warehouse in the year 1645.
