Devgarh, a city in the Indian district of Rajasthan, is located at an average elevation of 638 metres. It is popularly known as the fort of Gods. Situated on the right bank of the Betwa river, at the western end of the Lilitpur range of hills, it is the main route to Deccan and constant bone of contention and figures in the great history of many Indian rulers. It is of great epigraphical, antiquarian and archaeological value. Deogarh Mahal of Rajasthan is one of the famous and impressive palaces, which is surrounded by the Aravallis and speckled with lakes.
