Devgarh

Devgarh, a city in the Indian district of Rajasthan, is located at an average elevation of 638 metres. It is popularly known as the fort of Gods. Situated on the right bank of the Betwa river, at the western end of the Lilitpur range of hills, it is the main route to Deccan and constant bone of contention and figures in the great history of many Indian rulers. It is of great epigraphical, antiquarian and archaeological value.

Deogarh Mahal of Rajasthan is one of the famous and impressive palaces, which is surrounded by the Aravallis and speckled with lakes. Some of the main features of this palace are massive gateways, domes, graying battlements, rich paintings and domes. There are many Devgarh hotels in its proximity that provide comfortable accommodation to tourists. Today, even the Mahal mentioned above is also converted into heritage hotel, where meals consist of traditional regional cuisine and are served in dining hall.

Devgarh India is popular tourists’ destination. The fort occupies the topmost position in the list of tourists’ attractions. It houses 31 Jain temples with panels depicting scenes from the Jain mythology and images on pillars visible from all sides.
