  • Star Ferry: The ferry service between Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong Island began in 1898 and took 40 minutes to one hour. Now, the journey takes less than seven minutes with ferries running every ten minutes or less (during peak hours). Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The cigar-shaped boats look a bit different, but they are extremely safe and handle the often choppy harbor quite well. If it is your first time on the ferry, stay out of the air-conditioning and take in the fresh breeze and magnificent views.
  • Shop at Times Square: If you want to shop or just want to see why Hong Kong is often referred to as a shopper's paradise, come to Times Square. Go wild on your family shopping! Here is one of the best shopping complexes in the world located at Causeway Bay in Hong Kong. The complex is jammed with 20 floors worth of retail bliss, restaurants, and cinemas. From trend-setting fashion houses, designer clothes, exclusive outlets line Hennessy and Yee Woo streets, to many traditional Chinese wares, all are available on the side-streets housing Jardine's Bazaar.
  • Travel on Peak Tram to Victoria Peak: More than a mode of transport, the Peak Tram has been taking passengers to the top of the hill since 1888. It is just seven-minute ride but ears may pop up as you rise 396 meters above sea level. The Peak Tram runs every ten minutes from 7:00 a.m. to midnight.
  • Visit Ocean Park / Waterworld: Ocean Park is Southeast Asia's largest leisure complex which lies between Aberdeen and Repulse Bay. It provides a great day out for family and friends. Attractions include a cable car and the world's second-longest outdoor escalator, marine land shows and exhibitions, a shark tunnel, an aviary, a butterfly house, the 72-meter Sky Tower, the Dinosaur Discovery Trail, a huge roller coaster and other thrilling rides.
  • Dine at the Jumbo & Tai Pak Floating Restaurants: These floating restaurants anchored in Shum Wan are famous for their seafood. You can relish mouth-watering prawns served here.
  • Admire the Teddy Bear Kingdom: There are over 500 teddy bears living at Salisbury Road, designed by bear artists from all over the world, including Singapore. Learn about their history, make your own teddy bear at the DIY Teddy's Cradle, have a bite at the food outlets, romp in the Dr Teddy Play House, or simply meet resident teddy Hon Hon, and family.
  • Beam up at Space Museum: Space Museum is located in Hong Kong Cultural Center. There are two exhibition halls - the Hall of Space Science, & the Hall of Astronomy - & one of the world's largest planetariums that are the Space Theater, featuring Omnimax & sky shows.  
  • Don’t miss the Dragon Center: At first glance, this nine storey mall with around 150 shops seems like a cross between People's Park & Sim Lim Square. Goods range from electronic to household items. Look closer and you will see Hong Kong’s first roller-coaster the Sky Train on the 8th & 9th floors.
  • Learn & Have fun at Tai Po Kau Interactive Nature Center: Bird watch at the famous Tai Po Kau Interactive Nature museum of ethnology. It is Hong Kong’s first with over 2000 tools and utensils from all around the world. Drop by the Ethnic Village that reconstructs traditional huts and homes using original materials.
  • Relax at Lantau Islands: Lantau is the largest island in Hong Kong, and is home to the Chek Lap Kok Airport, beaches, and the Po Lin Buddha. The Po Lin Monastery has the world's largest seated bronze Buddha.
  • Head for the beaches and enjoy water sports: There are over 30 highly-acclaimed beaches throughout the territory which provide with excellent watersports opportunities right from skindiving, water-skiing, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, and fishing are available. Watersports equipment can be hired from beaches and hotels.
  • Head on to Botanical & Zoological Garden: Located at Albany Road in Central, established in 1861, this is a fine zoo with over 220 species of chattering birds & leading breeding center for endangered species.
