Lantau Island

Located at the mouth of the Pearl River, Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong. It is the biggest out of the 230 islands belong to the territory of Hong Kong and in fact, it is even bigger almost twice the size of Hong Kong Island itself. There is a chain of mountains that stretches from the higher elevations in the west to the lower ridges in the east. The highest peak in the mountain range is Phoenix Mountain which is the second highest peak in all of Hong Kong.
