Gibraltar weather is Mediterranean coupled with temperate summers and mild winters. The two main winds called Levante and Poniente affect climate of the region in full force. Levante Winds come from the Sahara (Africa) and make the weather humid and sea warmer and on the other hand Poniente, a westerly wind brings along fresh air and make sea colder. As for seasons, the months of July and August are hot, with average temperature hovering around 27°C. January is the coldest month of the year with average temperature falling between 11.5 °C to 16.5 °C. Gibraltar Weather is most pleasant during April and October and this is also the peak season. All in all Gibraltar boasts of excellent weather all through the year. It is firmly advised that you pack enough warm clothes with you if you are visiting Gibraltar during the month of January. Since it remains pleasant throughout the year, airy clothes will very aptly do. |
