Gibraltar

The city of Gibraltar is a famous British overseas territory that is sited in close proximity to the south most region of the Iberian Peninsula that overlooks the Strait of Gibraltar. Sharing its borders with Spain to the north, geographically Gibraltar is has been endowed with beautiful natural splendors. Once a significant base for the British Armed Forces, Gibraltar boasts of a history that is age old. It is not without a reason that Gibraltar Tourism has flourished like anything in the past few years. With so much to see and do in the city, anyone who visits the city is bound to have loads of fun here. Among the many places to visit in Gibraltar we have The Rock of Gibraltar, Trafalgar Cemetery and Gibraltar Museum among others.

The Rock of Gibraltar also called the Pillar of Hercules is a major tourist attraction of Gibraltar. Basically a gigantic peninsula made of limestone, the Rock stands 426meters high. In this region you would find many interesting flora and fauna and awe inspiring caves. Trafalgar Cemetery is located to the southern region of Southport Gate. In this cemetery are the graves of those of British sailors who died after the Battle of Trafalgar (1805) at Gibraltar.
