Augsburg

Emperor Augustus founded Augsburg in 15 BC and thereafter it grew to become a major trading center. During 15th and 16th centuries it was at the height of prosperity with the arrival of international trade and the banking business of the Fugger and Welser merchant families. And the renaissance buildings imparting uniqueness in the characteristics of the city started to exist in this era only.

This museum contains the elegant and masterpieces of work by Augsburg's master goldsmiths and silversmiths Brecht House and Mozart House.

It is the first social housing project established by Jakob Fugger II. It was developed with a purpose of helping the poor who were homeless. A line of 52 houses in 6 streets imparts a unique look to the city and nowadays serve the senior and retired citizens of Augsburg Germany.

Churches are one of the most unique characteristics of Auburgs city. All the churches exist under the same name. Dom St. Mary is one of them, which features magnificent interior with five magnificent stained-glass paintings in choir windows.

St Ulrich and St. Afra Kirche are fine examples of Catholic Paris Churches in Augsburg Germany, which came into existence during 17th century.
