During the summer, the Copenhagen Jazz festival holds a week of concerts, many of which are free, on the side of the street and squares. The best night for the budget traveller is Thursday when most bars and clubs have reduced cover and cheap drinks. Take advantage of happy hours usually starting before 8pm and lasting up till 10pm . Or you could buy some beer in the local supermarkets and sit on NyHavn Harbor during sunny afternoons, watching the parade of people go by.
