Kolding

Kolding being a seaport has an ideal location at the top part of the Kolding fjord in the southern region of Denmark. The Kolding Denmark map houses a number of industrial companies which are primarily geared towards shipbuilding. The Kolding municipality is the seventh largest in Denmark and is the hub of several economically significant activities. There is the Evangelical Lutheran church in Kolding which is a major attraction for the tourists. One can also visit the former royal castle of Koldinghus which was built in the 13th century. The castle built by King Eric Klipping is presently a museum with certain portions of the castle used to host governmental ceremonial events.

One other notable attraction site is the stone Church of Saint Nicholas built in the 13th century which is the oldest in Denmark. Then there is the Trapholt art museum and the Geografisk gardens which are popular tourist attraction to grace the Kolding Denmark map. In the Trapholt art museum one will get to see an excellent collection of Danish art from 1900 onwards along with a smaller number of non-Danish exhibits. Another museum worth a look in Kolding is the municipal museum where the Danish art collection from the Middle Ages is showcased. It also houses an extensive collection of items in gold and silver.
