Bolivia climate is varied. Summer season that extends from April to November is usually rainy and muggy. During this time transportation becomes difficult. Especially in the lowland regions it can be all the more worse as the land becomes with muddy and slippery. The most ideal time to visit Bolivia is during the winter season when the climate of Bolivia is cool and dry. This is also the most excellent time of year for climbing. The official tourist season begins from late June and lasts till early September. The main reason for this is the timing of summer vacations in Europe and North America and also the fact that Bolivia celebrates some of its major fiestas during this period. This is the peak season, the hotel rates, and prices hike. Even the places of interests remain crowded during this time around. Most of the region in Bolivia lies as in close proximity to the equator but because of its altitude and location renders it a volatile weather. The two regions in Bolivia where you will experience extreme climatic condition are Puerto Suárez with its extraordinarily muggy weather and Uyuni for its stone cold climatic condition.
