Named after Simón Bolívar, the Republic of Bolivia is a non-coastal country located in central region of South America. Iglesia de San Francisco
A beautiful church, the Iglesia de San Francisco is located in the city of La Paz. The architectural style of this church is a blend of mestizo and Spanish architecture. Completely erected in the mid 18th century this church attracts scores of tourists and visitors throughout the year. 

 

Cooperative Mines of Cerro Rico
Located in Potosí, this is one of the must visit sites of Bolivia Tourist Attractions. Visitors can have a look into the world of the poor miners who in pitiable and primitive conditions even today. Working conditions are same as it was in the olden days. Guided tours escort groups along the narrow tunnels stopping by to chat to the miners at work.

Casa Real De Moneda
Once known as the Royal Mint House used by the colonial Spanish to make coins out of silver and then sent back to Spain. Today this building is among the best museums of Bolivia that gives you an insight to the history of silver production in Potosí. On exhibition are the wooden minting machines, coins and coin stamps, religious art by indigenous Andeans, the country's earliest locomotive among others.

The Witches' Market (Mercado de Brujas)
This is one of the wackiest markets in the world. Here you will find unusual collections merchandise, herbs and remedies used in Aymara traditions, potions, charms, and dried llama fetuses and pretty handicrafts of Andean art.

Lake Titicaca
Considered as the highest navigable lake at 12,580ft (3,825m), Lake Titicaca covers 3,861 square miles (10,000 sq km) and is shared between Bolivia and Peru. Its pristine water and lovely islands make is an excellent tourist destination. Copacabana is the main township in the area that makes for a great base for traveling around the islands. Ferries depart everyday to and fro the islands and you can enjoy the spectacular views of snow-capped peaks of the Andean range across the lake.
