Feldkirch

The city of Feldkirch Austria is a medieval city located in the western state of Austrian- Vorarlberg. It was in the year 1218 that Feldkirch was declared as a city for the first time after Count Hugo Von Montfort erected the castle of "Schattenburg". An important historical monument, the Schattenburg Castle is deemed as the landmark of Feldkirch. Another important monument is the Cathedral of St. Nikolaus that is built in the Gothic architectural style.
