The daughter church "Heilige Anna"

The daughter church was built in 1741 on the place where a 16th century chapel had originally stood. It was last refurbished in the autumn of 1998. The structure is dedicated to Saint Anna who belonged to the parish of Bad Blumau since 1787. The strategy to build such structure first came from the Pöllau architect Remigius Horner. The church has a collection of sculptures of Saint Anna with baby Jeses on the altar.

The 1.000 year old oak

In a field, enclosed by forest, is a huge old tree which is about 1,000 years old. It has a circumference of about 8.75 meters and is generally thought to be the oldest oak in Europe. You can sit down and unwind in its gloom or consider the many stormy era that this magnificent tree has lasted.
